Safety
Last updated October 13, 2026
Lilbird is for kind notes between friends. Notes are anonymous to the person who gets them, not to us: we can act on any note that breaks these rules.
The rules
- Be kind. No bullying, insults or piling on.
- No threats or violence.
- No hate or slurs.
- No sexual content.
- No one's private information: addresses, phone numbers, or anything that identifies someone who didn't agree to it.
- Nothing that encourages self-harm or suicide.
- No spam, links or ads.
- You must be 18 or older.
How we keep Lilbird safe
- Every note is checked before it's sealed, partly by an AI model. Notes that break the rules are stopped, and notes that might hurt get a second thought.
- A person on our safety team reviews every report within 24 hours.
- We can remove a note, warn its writer, pause an account for 7 or 30 days, or close it. Closed accounts can't come back on the same device.
- When we act on a note, we tell its writer which rule it broke and how to ask us to look again.
Report a note
You don't need an account. Tell us which wall it's on and what's wrong.
If someone is in danger
Call your local emergency number (911 in the US and Canada, 112 in the EU). If you're struggling, you can call or text 988 in the US and Canada, or find a helpline near you at findahelpline.com.
